Collecting Textures

Challenge:  Collect as many different textures as you can!

Medium: Crayon on paper

Texture is how something feels.  Textures are rough, bumpy, gritty, smooth, etc.

Collect your textures with crayon rubbing.  Place a texture under a piece of paper and then rub a crayon over the top of the paper.  What kinds of texture do you think will show up best on the paper?

​Work in small areas so that you can fit many textures on your paper.  Try using a different color for each texture.  Maybe even take the challenge outside and see what you can find.  Make it a competition if you have siblings!
